System Edström powers up mobile tyre replacement van

With mobile servicing and tyre replacement becoming ever more popular, the demand for vans that can replicate the work carried out at the dealership is growing.

System Edström started converting mobile service vans a few years back with brands such as Ford, Renault and Mercedes among our customers. Now the company is moving into the mobile tyre van sector, with its own demo tyre van rolling out this week.

The van, which is a Renault Master L3 H3, is aimed at demonstrating System Edström’s capabilities in this field. It’s aimed at companies, who offer roadside tyre replacement, whether they’re major chains or smaller independents.

It gives mobile tyre technicians everything they need to do their jobs at the customer’s home or roadside. This includes a Rema TipTop wheel balancer, tyre changer, compressor and more. Plus, it has ample storage to keep all necessary tools and equipment well organised, easy to find and secure. The compressor is also oil-free, cutting down on the need for maintenance to keep the van on the road for longer.

The key to the van is its lithium battery power supply from Portable Power Technology, which allows tools to be powered up while the van’s conventional diesel engine running. This means that the technician can carry out all the necessary tasks while saving fuel, emissions and money as the engine doesn’t need to be left idling.
